Miles G. Richardson, O.C., is a citizen of the Haida Nation and Canada. He grew up among his people in Haida Gwaii, attended high school in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. After graduating with his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Victoria in 1979, Mr. Richardson served as Administrator for the Skidegate Band Council and directed the establishment of the Haida Gwaii Watchmen program.
In 1984, he was the youngest person to be elected President of the Council of the Haida Nation (CHN), a position he held until 1996. During his tenure as President of the CHN, Mr. Richardson led the drafting of the Constitution of the Haida Nation; development of the first comprehensive Haida Nation land and marine use plan, enacted under Haida law; and negotiation of the Gwaii Haanas Agreement, the first Nation-to-Nation agreement between the Haida Nation and Canada, which protected the Gwaii Haanas area of his people’s homeland, Haida Gwaii.
Mr. Richardson was a member of the BC Claims Task Force that made recommendations to First Nations in BC and the Governments of Canada and BC on a made-in-BC process to conduct negotiations to build a new relationship. From 1991 through 1993, Mr. Richardson was a delegate of the First Nations Summit Task Group, an executive body representing First Nations in BC. In 1995, he was nominated by the Summit and appointed a Commissioner to the BC Treaty Commission, a position he held for two terms. In 1998, Mr. Richardson was chosen as Chief Commissioner of the BC Treaty Commission by agreement of Canada, BC, and the First Nations Summit, and continued to serve in that role until 2004. In 2007, Mr. Richardson was named an Officer of the Order of Canada.
He is a founding Director of the David Suzuki Foundation, having served on its Board of Directors since its incorporation in 1990. He was also a founding member of the Bill Reid Foundation, which works to preserve the art, perpetuate the legacies of Bill Reid and deepen appreciation of Northwest Coast Indigenous art. From 2010 to 2013, he served as Co-Chair of the Indigenous Advisory Circle for the Institute on Governance and now serves as Senior Advisor for the Indigenous Leadership Initiative; served on Board of Directors of B.C. New Relationship Trust and as a member of the Steering Committee for the BC Indigenous Clean Energy Initiative from 2019 until 2023 and currently serves as Director of the National Consortium on Indigenous Economic Development – an initiative of the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business and Faculty of Law at the University of Victoria.

Kareem has successfully levered his knowledge of people, policy and place into successful political campaigns at the municipal, provincial and federal levels.
Recently, Kareem successfully managed the Kevin Falcon for BC Liberal Leader Campaign and the ABC Vancouver
Municipal Campaign, electing 19 out of 19 candidates, including Mayor Ken Sim. In 2023 Kareem was named #9 to Vancouver Magazine's Power 50 list.
Prior to Richardson Strategy, Kareem served in senior Indigenous Relations roles with Britco, Civeo, Trans Canada Pipelines, and a national Public Relations firm. Prior to that, he was the Director of Public Policy at the Vancouver Board of Trade. Shortly after graduating from Simon Fraser University, Kareem had roles with Fortis BC and the Fraser Health Authority in Government Relations.
He is active in the community and has served as a member of the board of the Fraser Health Authority, the BC College of Massage Therapists, as a member of the Translink Screening Panel, the Canada Border Services Pacific Commercial Committee and the Metro Vancouver Integrated Utility Management Committee.

Lucy is an accomplished professional with a distinguished career spanning public, administration, and corporate leadership. With over two decades of experience, she has successfully managed complex casework, engage with community stakeholders, provided advice to senior government officials, and overseen operations for both federal and provincial representatives in Canada.
Her extensive expertise includes assisting individuals in navigating federal and provincial departments on a wide range of issues. In senior advisory roles, Lucy has collaborated with stakeholders across all levels of government, facilitated grant applications, and contributed to the development of federal infrastructure programs.
Beyond her public service accomplishments, Lucy brings substantive private-sector experience. She has held leader roles at a prominent Vancouver law firm, where she managed financial operations, implemented technology upgrades, and oversaw human resources.

Seán started his career in community economic development in the Eastern Arctic Nunavut, providing him with a foundational understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Indigenous communities.
Seán’s work history spans across diverse sectors, including mining, cultural industries, energy, forestry, natural resources, fisheries, major infrastructure and agriculture among others.
He has a proven consultation and engagement track record on various heavily regulated large-scale capital projects, including a $4.5 billion mining project in Nunavut, a $3.5 billion energy project in Nova Scotia and major project initiatives with BC Hydro and various substantial utilities projects.
Prior to his consulting work, Seán held senior engagement positions at BC Hydro and Baffinland Iron Mines.
He also gained valuable international investment and trade experience through his work with the Province of Nova Scotia and Trade Team Canada associated with the energy sector.
His services include strategic planning, policy research strategic partnerships, negotiating, joint ventures and identifying emerging economic opportunities. Seán has worked across BC; on Vancouver Island (Quatsino First Nation), Nicola Valley LNIB Development Corporation and throughout Treaty 8 Nations communities.
Most recently, Seán is the former Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), for the shíshálh Nation and the shíshálh Nation Government District, providing transformational and strategic leadership. His accomplishments include advancing several significant capital projects, addressing water security, strengthening financial management, implementing a Fair Living Wage policy, advancing innovative housing solutions, and contributing to impactful policy and legislative amendments.
Seán focusses on developing holistic, community-led strategies supported by dependable research, reliable data and integrity-based negotiations. Sean enthusiastically works to support Indigenous leaders and communities towards self-determination, nation-building and reconciliation.
Sean holds a BA from Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS, where he studied English and Russian Literature.
